Iron Maiden, Reality Shows etc | Day 80
Hello, everyone. So, today I thought it would be a great idea to just start talking about random stuff. It doesn't have to do with anything specific, just random stuff that come in my mind as I'm writing in this little little blog.
My favorite social media site is maybe Instagram. I really like facebook though and it's pretty hard for me to choose one over the other. I like Instagram because it gives me a way to express myself though photographs and the art of picture. I have the ability to test my creativity and try new stuff with all the effects and the editing. I really spend a lot of time editing a picture before I post it. I try to adjust the colors, maybe put an absurd spin on it depending on my mood or the philosophy I think of when I edit it. But it surely puts me in a place of creativity and thought. I've never been so passionate about taking pictures before; only when I made an instagram account. But Facebook is a great way to connect with my friends and more people in my circle. In my friends list, there are definitely more people that know me and know my music so it's easier for me to talk about my music and share it with them. I've been using facebook since 2010 so I'm kind of more familiar with it. Also, I've been working a lot on my facebook page. I can't really choose one over the other. I picked instagram in the beginning of this paragraph as a way of freedom of expression.
Could I live without them?
Yes, for sure. I would have no problem. But they're both tools for me to promote my music and make my dreams come true. So, I need them. As of YouTube, well, that is my vehicle on this highway so I couldn't do most of what I do without it. I mean, I love to sing live, it's my passion, I wouldn't choose anything over it, I LOVE to sing live. But Youtube gives me a reason to express my feelings in an artistic, technological way. Through videos, editing etc.
Reality Shows
A couple of years ago I used to be against reality shows. But now I enjoy them. The whole culture of showcasing every little moment of your life in the public eye just doesn't seem right to me and the idea of it is not my cup of tea. (I like documentaries but they're way different from reality shows). However, I happen to enjoy watching reality shows. If I have nothing more creative or productive to do, I've got no problem with watching a reality show. Just to spend my time and calm my mind and take my thoughts away from my hectic schedule sometimes. So, yeah. That's pretty much it.
Iron Maiden
I always said that I'm not a fan of heavy metal music but that's such a lie. I REALLY enjoy heavy metal. It just depends on my mood. This week it was officially announced that Iron Maiden are going to perform in Greece this July. I freaked out because even though I was never a listener of their music, I think it's a lifetime experience to get to see them perform live. I think it's more than an experience. It's just out of this world to have the opportunity to see IRON MAIDEN LIVE! So, I'm just waiting for the tickets to go on sale and I can't wait to see them. Since the announcement of them coming to perform in Greece, I've listened to two out of their 16 albums and more specifically "The Book Of Souls (2015)" and "Fear Of The Dark (1992)". Yesterday night, I caught myself laying on my bed and singing "HELL AIN'T A BAD PLACE. HELL IS FROM HERE TO ETERNITY" Hahaha. That doesn't seem like something a pop mainstream singer would say. But that's a label. The fact that pop is my main style and I'm a pop singer doesn't mean that I don't enjoy listening or singing rock, jazz, rap or even heavy metal (kind of hard for me to sing though, but I'm a fan, all fans scream the songs when they have the chance to). You know what I'm saying? You don't have to be a heavy metal fan since forever to enjoy heavy metal. I really hope to get to see them live. It would be such a great experience.
Music has no limits.
Music is an art. And art has no limits. So, I believe that music has no limits. I believe that there is no right or wrong when it comes to art. So, I believe that there is no right or wrong either when it comes to music. I don't believe that we have to follow certain rules to compose music or write a song. Each one of us has a different way of thinking and appreciating art and expressing art. And it's such a unique experience to meet with different people's art and stories behind it. Because people are different and my perspective is not the same as yours. Even if we're working on the same project, we would never be able to create the same art. It just comes from a part of our brain that is so unique to us and only we can have access to it. Nobody else. Therefore, I believe that we should not limit artists and say "this is not right". It's just not right to say such thing. Art has no limits and if we only realize that, we'll be able to appreciate it.
