Panellinies. Final Exams. Thoughts | Day 72

Εικόνα
I'm in the final way. In case you didn't know I am just a week away from the "Panellinies" exams (the exams you have to pass to study in a university in Greece) and I don't know how to feel.  The whole process is kind of stressful, you feel exhausted, you don't get too much sleep, you have to get a lot of knowledge inside your brain and the whole situation is overwhelming. They purposely try to make you see this is the BIGGEST DEAL of your life. And it works! All of these hours studying for this goal, for a goal that means the world to me this moment of my life -getting to study in my favourite university- have made me crave this so much that it feels like the greatest deal of my life. And it is indeed a great deal to get into the university of your choice and being able to study something that you actually love. But is it worth it to put yourself in such a stress?  They make it look like it's worth it. Because they created this situation. T

Do What You Want | Day 70

How are you, everyone? I hope you're doing well!  Life is great, life is beautiful. Everything's going to go just fine. Don't worry.  Today I'm going to talk about different stuff so don't expect a cohesion between the topics. I really wanted to talk to you about my trip to Thessaloniki , Yannena, Meteora, Larissa, Kastoria and other beautiful places in Greece but unfortunately I can't. And that's because the internal hard driver of my PC is damaged due to normal causes (we've been using it for 10 years or so and our technical supporter told us that it's normal for it to be damaged after all of that time).  The bad thing is that photos and videos of my trip to those places are all in there and now I can't get access to the files. Hopefully, some day soon I'll be able to. But for now I can't. So, (since words don't express what is being expressed with photos) don't expect a blog post about that. :( And there are so many memo

Antio - Goodbye (New Song) | Day 69

Εικόνα
This is my new song -Antio- (Which means "Goodbye" in Greek).  The Story behind it:  A beloved aunt of mine passed away in the middle of March in 2016 and the same day she died, pain was so deep that I wanted to express it in a paper. So, I wrote this Greek song.  and I uploaded it on her birthday: March 5th It's so hard losing someone you love and it's even harder to go back to the time that you lost that person. That's why I was never in the mood to write this blog post.  That woman was a very lovely woman, had a very lovely soul and the only thing I remember the most is that I've always seen her smiling. There was always a smile on her face, I've never seen her the other way.  A month after I wrote this song, I wrote 3 poems for her in 2 hours in her 40 day memorial.  The feeling that you feel when someone has just died -the atmosphere, the air, everything- is the worst feeling I have ever experienced.  About the video:  We did the

Karate Seminar & 2nd DAN | Day 67

Εικόνα
Hello, everyone! It's a long time since I last updated my little blog. Right now, I'm listening to "Love's just a feeling" by Lindsey Stirling while I'm typing here but in the end of this blog post, I will have listened to a whole EP. It doesn't take 5 minutes to write this post, that's why I don't have time to chill out here. A lot of things have happened in my life since last time... but I think I want to dedicate each one of those moments in different blog posts and not just all in one. So, today I'll be talking about.... KARATE! The weekend that just passed by (since we're talking about the weekend, let me tell you that now I'm listening to I Feel it coming by the weeknd ) (oh and I love the video.. It has some good 80s vibes in it.. totally into it). Anyway, I changed the topic. Let's go back. This weekend there was this big seminar of Yamada Ha Shito Ryu Shukokai Karate-Do that happened here in Heraklion in my ho

Do Aliens Exist? | Day 51

Heeeeyyyy!! What's up?? Today, I arrived from my visit to Arvis and our stop by Keratokampos. Do you want to know what's going on? Follow me.. Arvi So, we found some great friends of ours in Arvi Village. Arvi is 90 minutes away from home. It's a small village with not much of popularity. It's a calm and friendly village in Crete.  Even though today was a really windy day all around our island, Arvi was not windy at all. Due to its geographical position , Arvi doesn't get as much wind as other villages get. It's calm and from what the villagers said, there's only one strong wind that takes place in the village once in 4-5 years. So, as you understand, the village is a calm, hot resort.   The beach was great and full of people, but the natives informed us that in the end of August tourists go away and everything is back to normal , without many people being around, just the few ones that live in there.    We had a great time with our friends t

I'll go camping! | Day 8

Εικόνα
I'll go camping !   Yeah! It's the last year of my childhood that I can join a camping group here in Greece! No, no! It's not what you think. Here in Greece and of course anywhere else in the world, there are places where parents send their children for a bunch of days to have fun. It's like camping! Sometimes there are tends, sometimes there are buildings but everything else is almost the same. These places have games, pools or sea, activity things,  a cafeteria, a mini kiosk, a reception building, a tennis or football or volleyball court etc. I first went to place like this when I was 6 years old and then I went when I was 7 years old. This year is the last year that I can go to a place like this. Of course I can go camping with my family and friends but it won't be the same. Let me explain to you what happens (as I remember). There are little buildings or tends which host 8 or 9 people and are leaded by a team leader. Those teams have fun in the whole campi
