Eurovision and today's music | Day 71
Hello, everyoneeee... This is Lionder and welcome to another blogpost of mine. Today we're going to be talking a lot about music. Hope you enjoy!
Right now, I'm laying on my sofa and I'm watching Eurovision. I really like this competition. I've been watching it since I could use my eyes and ears -see & hear- because it was always a family tradition to gather around and watch it. I have to admit that Eurovision in the past used to be SO GOOD. The songs were so good and upbeat and catchy. Not all of them of course. But it still is a great competion. People meet each other's culture and ideas through music. My favourite entry EVER is Greece's 2005 entry with "My number one" by Helena Paparizou. That song was AMAZE-BALLS. Not only the song, but the whole performance. It was an English upbeat song with some kind of Greek style -Greek instruments etc-. And there are no words to describe Helena Paparizou who is as beautiful as a Greek Goddess in my opinion. She's a masterpiece. I love her!

This year, my country sent Demy in Eurovision with "This is Love". It's a good upbeat song. It's not my favourite, I'd have to admit. But it's a good edm pop song. And it's really good though in comparison with Greece's entries these late years. The performance is also good and I love the message that it spreads. And Demy is very talented and she did GREAT in this year's competition. She was shinning like a diamond. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iO14p2uCzkM
I'd like to talk a little bit more about music. Let's talk about Harry's Styles new album. It's amazing.
Let's take a minute to appreciate this album and his transformation from a popstar to a rockstar. He's very talented and that you can clearly see in his music. It's a very artistic album and I love that it's released by a mainstream artist. You know what I mean... Harry styles was known as a member of the pop group One Direction so he was clearly a very famous person in the mainstream music. But releasing such an album, is really a great move. It's so different if we compare it to the mainstream music that is being played on the radio nowadays. And it's a great step in mainstream music if we start playing such songs in the radio. More and more people will get to meet a high-quality style of music where art meets music. I love pop, don't get me wrong. I love pop more than anything. But it's kind of tiring to listen to the same songs again and again, same chords, same tunes (I talked about that in my previous post).
