Great Lessons | Day 37

So, today I got some news for you. But let's start by the basics.
Are you fine?
Because if you're not, you should be. The fact that you're reading this right now, in this moment, means that you are alive, you've survived through any circumstances and you've overcame any obstacle. And I'm proud of you because you totally deserve to be alive and healthy. So, you should be happy. And even if you're not completely healthy, you should stay positive because things will get better soon. I promise. Don't stop believing in your power and in the power of your mind. Think of only happy things and always stay positive.

So, a new summer song IS COMING.
I'd written a song almost a year ago and now it's about to be released. Actually, I haven't recorded it yet but one thing you should know is that, it's a special collaboration between me and DJ ANTIBASSIS (The guy who remixed my song "For Peace"). I can't describe you much happy I am and excited. I'm looking forward to uploading it and hearing your opinion about it! I'm so grateful and happy!
Except that...I got something else for you too
I've written an emotional Greek song and it's going to be out this month, I guess. I don't know but I think that is going to be ready this month. I don't want to tell you more because it's a surprise. (I love surprises by the way, and if you too then that's great!)
Quality over Quantity.
I uploaded "The Game" 23 days before. It's almost a month. I don't like to keep you waiting. So, I sat down yesterday and did a cover of a song by a wonderful artist. The whole process took me so long... more than 2 hours and that was unbelievable.
When I do a cover live in my house, I spend an hour or so to make it happen. That's because I make some mistakes, or I even make mistakes that I would never make before due to my little tiny stress. But, yesterday I litterally got over the limit. It was so hard for me because I just couldn't understand why that thing would happen to me. I knew the chords and the lyrics, I was completely ready and I would keep on making mistakes. And I had to study for today and I didn't study that much because of it.
After 2 hours of trying, I was convienced that yesterday was not the day to do it and I would do it another day until my mother arrived. She actually calmed me down, made me feel better and relaxed and took off all of the stress. (I still had a little bit but I was calmed down enough to try once again). I reset the trypod and tried some times again. I still wouldn't succeed and I tried one more time and I fianlly did it! I was so excited about it. My mother helped me alot.
That's a great lesson for me. You shouldn't give up. You should always think that you do what you do because you love it and not because you have to do it. It's your passion, not you duty!
But, that was not the point of the whole text.
Well, I watched the video and I liked it. I worked really hard for it and spent a whole afternoon to make it happen so I had a bond with it. I edited and showed it to my parents. They liked alot and I was happy about it but then they listened to the original song. The song that the artist had performed.
My mother had a question mark on her face. She was confused. "I like your cover so much. It's really good. But, I just listened to the song and I think you should try to record your version at a studio. The music background and the whole thing should be emphasized. Plus, your cover is just you in your house playing the piano. People will not understand how much you've worked for it and they will judge the result. And comparing your result with the song, people may not be very pleasant. And I know you can do more than that" she said.
My parents are not only the people who brought life to me but are also my managers. They made me understand that I should never put quantity over quality. The fact that it's been a little while since I last uploaded a video doesn't mean I have to upload a handy cover. That was a huge lesson for me.
We should always do the best that we can, even if that takes time. Because good things take time, my friends. So, don't rush. Enjoy your journey!
